In order to collect payment accumulated and advance the contributory unemployment benefit you must:

• To be a national of a country which has bilateral agreement with Spain in the field of Social security (Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, brazil, canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, united states of america, Russian Federation, japan, philippines, morocco, mexico, Paraguay, peru, republic of cape Verde, republic of korea, Dominican Republic, China, Senegal, tunisia, ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela), and have legal residency in Spain.
• Excluding persons who are nationals of countries European Union, of the european economic area, Switzerland, stateless persons and those who hold dual nationality, when one is that of a country that has bilateral agreement with Spain in the field of Social security and the other is the spanish or that of a country of theEuropean Union, the economic Europeor to Switzerland.
• To be in unemployment or registered and registered as a jobseeker.
• Having recognized the right to unemployment benefit of level of contributors, without compatibilizarlo with part-time work.
• The commitment to return to your country of origin, if any, in the company of your family grouped without independent residence permit within 30 calendar days from the date of the first payment in spain, and the commitment not to return to Spain within three years.

Can i go back to Spain in the future?

• 60% of the remaining amount in your country of origin, after a period of 30 calendar days from the date of the first payment paid in Spain and within a maximum period of 90 days from that date.

To receive this pass, you must appear at the Spanish diplomatic or consular representation in your country of origin to prove your return to it. At that time you must hand over the Foreigner Identity Card of which you are the holder.

Once you have presented yourself before the diplomatic or consular representation, and this fact has been communicated to the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) by the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the SEPE will make the second payment.

Payment will be made in your country of origin, by personal check or by bank transfer in euros or, where applicable, in the currency in which the General Treasury of Social Security makes the payment of benefits in said country.

Waiver of the accumulated and advance payment of the benefit will not be accepted once the first payment has been made.

The accumulated and early payment of the unemployment benefit will be complemented with a complementary aid program managed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy through the General Secretariat of Immigration and Emigration, General Directorate of Migration. In order to access the accumulated and advance payment of the contributory unemployment benefit, you must present the following documentation:

• Official application form.
• Foreigner Identity Card (TIE), which contains the NIE, and the passport, which must be valid.

You can submit the application if you have the right to access or resume contributory-level unemployment benefits or while you are receiving it, through:

• The SEPE electronic headquarters.
• At the benefits office (by making an appointment at the Sepe  Electronic  Office or by phone.
• At any public record office or
• Sending it by administrative email.

The application for the accumulated and advance payment is independent of the application for the contributory unemployment benefit (initial registration or resumption), although both can be submitted at the same time. However, you can also request the accumulated and advance payment at any time after applying for the contributory benefit, while you are receiving it. It is not necessary that you have a minimum of days or months left to receive this benefit.

Likewise, in the application, you must state the information related to the payment: the address in the country of origin if you have chosen the check as a payment method, and the bank details of the account number of which you are the owner if you have chosen the transfer.
