It Is a strategic master plan and whose purpose is to guide the intervention of public employment services (members of the National employment System) to eliminate gender gaps in access, maintenance and promotion in employment.
The SEPE is the body which leads the joint strategy for programmes and common services of the PAE.
Prior actions and ongoing actions
The project "actions to foster the mainstreaming of gender mainstreaming in all the active employment policies" has resulted in the development of a prior diagnosisthe situation relating to the integration of equality between women and men in the common services and programmes.
Inspired by this diagnosis, rises The Plan of action of the SEPEthe result of a working group consisting of technical profiles that has managed to select 33 measuresis ongoing to improve cross-cutting integration of gender perspectives in active employment policies.
In this Plan of action of the SEPE joined the rest of the communities; in this way, with the territorial diversity, assuming the challenge of a common horizon of equality.

Según datos de la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA), elaborada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, en el año 2023, el empleo femenino registró la tasa de ocupación más alta. A pesar de esto, la tasa de empleo de las mujeres sigue siendo diez puntos inferiores a la de los hombres, salvo en el caso del régimen de empleadas del hogar en el que ellas representan el 95,56% del total, según datos del Informe de mercado de trabajo estatal de 2024.
